Tribute

We are saddened by the loss of Jeff Flagg, a longtime member of The Lake Norman Big Band, who passed away on March 17, 2022.  He was not only known as a fine musician, but also as a devoted and doting father and husband.

Jeff was born on November 9, 1960 in Worcester, MA, to the late Kenneth Flagg and Anne Decatur Flagg. Jeffrey worked as a Business System Consultant. He was a loving and caring husband, father, and father-in-law, son, brother, uncle, son-in-law, and brother-in-law. He was a disciple of Christ and was the Inn Keeper in the Good Samaritan story. Jeffrey was a drummer and loved Martial Arts and he enjoyed teaching others. He was in the Lake Norman Big Band, Sugar Sand Band, Avon Park Grenadier Band, and the Pacific Coast Hwy Band. He taught the Cornelius Youth Orchestra. 


Jeff was survived by his wife of 40 years, Stephanie Harden Flagg; children, Ashley Flagg, Austin Martin Flagg and wife, Amber W. Flagg; sisters, Cynthia Flagg, Linda Wack and husband, David Wack; brother, Kenneth Flagg, Jr.; and nieces and nephews, Amy Wack, David Wack II, Katie O'Berry, and Holly Smith. 


As we mourn his loss, we will continue to keep Jeff’s family and friends in our thoughts and prayers.
